Answer : Because it would add more depth
2. what suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO?
Answer: To retain the most detail and to have the highest image quality
3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO?
Answer: Not enough light, quick capture, indoors without flash, freeze motion etc.

Self Portrait

I will probably shoot my mom because i love my mom and she is the best. I will probably take a picture of her in my kitchen because she's the one who cooks for me. I will probably just tell her to be herself for me to catch a successful picture. Her being herself is the best quality you could ever get.

Self Portrait-photography self portrait

This one also stood out to me i like how crazy he looks in this picture
This one just stood out to me i found it to be a very cool picture.

Self Portrait- Formal portrait

I like this one because the baby is cute.
Like this one because it shows that it doesn't matter what age you are you can still be a hero.

Self Portrait- Casual portrait

I also like this picture because i think that she has a pretty smile.
I like this picture because this man looks so nice and peaceful and a person that wouldn't hurt anybody.

Scariest sound ever

I think the scariest sound ever is when you are a lone at home and you start hearing things all out of no where like for example if you hear something moving or someone doing stuff when you know there is no one there

Principles of Design

Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.  Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position.  Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.

Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.  Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.

Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.  Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly.  Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

Principles of design

Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.  There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.
Contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting.
Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance.  An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition.

Elements of art/principles of design

Line: Lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.
Shape: Shapes are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.
ColorColor wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.
ValueValue, or tone, refers to dark and light; the value scale refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between.  Value contrasts help us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art.
Form Form describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.
Texture: Texture can be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless.  Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.
SpaceSpace refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or  negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional.

i chose this photo because it looked interesting and i thought it was soo cool how she splattered the paint. Some rules are repetition and how all the paint is repeating on falling.

Dream Car

For my first and ideal car i would like a BMW I'm working right now to buy myself that car. Im not sure what kind of bmw i would like but I'm sure it will be fast and look cool af.

Best Story
I think this is how the story went, the teacher asked the student to put soap in water and demonstrate how molecules combine together so they put to much soap in there and ended up having so many bubbles.

National Geographic Warm-up

I like this photo because it showed the intense and the suspense the divers had to go through facing this white shark and going out of the cage into the water. I think its very cool.

The picture that i would take is a bowl next to a bed because that represents every teen. We mostly eat and sleep.

Photo manipulation and ethics

This is the least unethical because its just changing the smile, it doesn't really matter.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

2.
This one is the most unethical because the soldiers looks like he is yelling and about to point the gun at the man and his kid.

Photo manipulation

Its bad because people who view photos which are edited tend to believe it good or bad. Also if anyone finds out you edited you can be arrested.

9/11 photos

This also represents the rule of thirds because it want you to focus on the destruction it left behind, when the building went down.

9/11 photos

This shows avoiding mergers because the fireman is watching the burning fire and he and the rest of the firefighter are avoiding the fire and death.

9/11 photos

This shows the rule of thirds because it wants you to focus on the man and its focused on the man that represents the people that had been in the building and what they had to go through.

9/11 photos

This shows the element symmetry because the truck demonstrates a strong point of how serious the situation is, it required the army to be there.

9/11 photos

This represents avoiding mergers because the fireman is directing and informing the pedestrians to stay away and try to avoid all that destruction.

9/11 photos

The lines in the tower represent the floors and how many people were in there leading everyone in there to death because of this massive destruction.

Post Shoot reflection

1. I like how he chooses pictures that stand out.
2. I also like how the lay out is

Dislike
1. Needs more far taken pictures

40 Greatest Picture

The old man and him crying next to a tank made me pick this photo it looked interesting. The picture was taken from a long view perspective. It made the top 40 because it catched the old man crying next to a tank he spent most of the war in.

40 Greatest Picture

This picture is really meaningful and filled with joy but then again sorrow, thats how it made the 40 best. They took this picture up close. The baby surrounded by soldiers and all the destruction made me pick this photo.

40 Greatest photos

The thing that makes the photo be in the 40 greatest picture is the dogs loyalty for its owner. I like how the dog stay with the owner even though, the owner has past away. They set up this photo by taking it from a top view.

Camera History and camera parts

1. Explain the "Camera Obscura" effect. How is it achieved?
Answer: Inside a completely dark room, a tiny hole is created in one wall. Through the hole light is focused, and the outside scene is projected ( upside down ) on the opposite wall. It was achieved because the hole acted like a lens, focusing and projecting light onto the wall of the dark chamber.

2.What invention during the 17th Century helped man get a step closer to creating the modern camera?
Answer: Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optic and the process of making high quality glass lenses.

3. What were the parts of the first modern camera invented by Niepce?
AnswerHe added *film* to create the first successful photograph, and the modern camera was born!!!!

4.What do modern digital cameras have in common with Niepce’s camera?
Answers: A lens, film, a hole where light is able to pass through the lens into the camera, and exposes the film.

5.What do digital cameras use to capture an image?
Answer: A electronic sensor called a CCD. Photographs are stored on reusable computer memory devices.

6.What is the difference between the Auto Mode and the Program mode?
Answer: Auto Mode is when the camera will completely control flash and exposure. On most cameras this is labelled *auto*, on others simply "A". Some cameras only have (P)rograms.
Program is a automatic-assist, just point and shoot. Unlike full auto mode, you can usually control flash and a few other camera settings.

7.What is the Portrait mode used for? How does it work?
Answer: To attempt to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting.

8.What is the Sports mode used for? (not just sports) How does it work?
Answer: To freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.

9.Why should you do a half press on the trigger button?
Answer: Faster camera response time, More control over focus, Encourages better composition, and more.

10.  What does this symbol mean?
Answer: Disabled flash

When would you use this ?
Answer: When you don't want to use the flash

11. What does this symbol mean?
Answer: Auto flash

When would you use this ?
Answer: When the camera thinks it needs more light

12. What happens to your photo if there is too much light?
Answer: The picture will be washed out

13. What happens to your photo if there is not enough light ?
Answer:You have to calculate the right amount of exposure

14. What is a "stop"?
Answer: Represent a relative change in the brightness of light

15. How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are two sons instead of one?
Answer: 1 stop

16. How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are four sons instead of one?
Answer: 2 stops

17. What affect does a longer shutter speed of have?
Answer: It gives more light to the photos

18. What effect does a shorter shutter speed have?
Answer: It takes less light

19. What does the aperture control?
Answer: It controls how much light passes through the camera

20. When adjusting the aperture, how can you increase the amount of light ?
Answer:Opening the setting "Aperture Opening" also know as an F-stop

Aperture: Is a professional photography application that lets you refine images

Shutter: It is a "door" between the camera lens and the film

Exposure: The amount of light allowed to fall on each area

Depth of field: The distance between the nearest and farthest objects

F-stop: The amount of light let into the camera

Focal length: The optical system is a measure of how strong the system converges or diverges light
